Dos martillos hidráulicos montados en retroexcavadoras (manejadas por operadores) que se confrontan golpeándose mutuamente. Mientras las excavadoras permanecen estáticas, cada martillo trata de efectuar sobre el otro (punta contra punta) una secuencia de golpes, al mismo tiempo que intenta eludir a su contrincante o lo enfrenta.
El movimiento mecánico brutal como imagen de la brutalidad humana. Máquinas de construcción habituales en el paisaje urbano que, fuera de contexto, recuerdan el auge posmoderno de la robótica: actividad pseudorrobótica como parodia de la actividad humana. Referencia mecánica de choque sexual, competencia machista, combate, guerra.

Two hydraulic hammers mounted in backhoes (driven by specialized operators) confront each other. While the backhoes stay still each hammer tries to do a beat sequence by hitting the other (tip against tip) while eluding the blows of its opponent.
In this work, the brutal movement of the machines becomes an image of human brutality. When these machines are taken out of their usual context, construction sites where they go unnoticed, they remind us of the postmodern boom of robotics, and pseudo-robotic activity becomes a parody of human activity. It is a mechanical reference to a sexual clash, to competition amongst males, combat, and war.
