Acción Dos de Octubre (October the Second Action). 2009

Centro Cultural Universitario Tlatelolco, Mexico City.

Action realized on the anniversary of the Tlatelolco massacre of students that took place on October 2nd, 1968. Made in collaboration with Lithuanian artist Redas Diržys, it consisted on the artists climbing the tower with ropes, each one carrying on his back the stenciled portrait of one of the people responsible for the repression: the then-President of Mexico and the Secretary of the Interior.

Once the artists reached the last floor, the portraits were covered with black paint and thrown into the air.
